ADA to offer vaccination literacy webinar

The ADA plans to host a vaccination literacy webinar on May 19.

The webinar, titled "Going With the (Work) Flow: Moving From Vaccination Inaction to Action With Health Literacy," will be led by Dr. Laura Noonan. Noonan will address how health literacy can be incorporated when discussing and providing vaccinations for HPV, influenza, COVID-19, and other conditions.

She will address the following topics:

  • Current barriers to vaccination
  • Health literacy communication techniques
  • Workflow in the dental practice and how the use of health literacy strategies can make it more successful

The ADA will offer 1.5 hours of continuing education credit for the webinar, the association said. The event will be held at noon Central time.
