Heartland Dental recently reported results from its second annual Free Dentistry Day, held on September 10, which aims to provide free dentistry to people who may otherwise go without dental care.
A total of 211 Heartland Dental-supported offices across the U.S. participated this year, providing professional cleanings, dental fillings, and tooth extractions to 4,036 patients.
Dental supply donations were provided by Henry Schein and Envista, along with the support of Colgate and Septodont, the company said. Since 2010, Heartland has partnered with its supported offices and supply partners to offer Free Dentistry Day, which to date has provided more than $13 million in free dental care to over 35,000 patients.
