High Point University in North Carolina announced it will build a new dental school and enroll its first class in the fall of 2023.
At full capacity, the private university's new school will draw 180 new students to campus, according to a statement from the university. The new school will be built on High Point's International Avenue with an investment totaling $150 million.
The new project, along with several other building projects, is expected to create 300 new jobs in the High Point area, the university said. Dr. Scott de Rossi will serve as dean.
