  2. assess the current medical, social, and dental condition of the patient;
  3. treat  chief complaints;
  4. develop a patient-centered treatment plan;
  5. match dental treatment with the patient’s desires, if the two are compatible, and;
  6. sequence treatment for optimal results and best use of treatment time
