Delta Dental of California has fired CEO Tony Barth.
Barth's employment was terminated on October 19 for "reasons relating to his engaging in and failing to report a consensual relationship with a subordinate employee," according to Delta Dental of California.
Chief Finance Officer (CFO) Mike Castro has been appointed acting CEO. Current Senior Vice President of Finance Alicia Webber will serve as acting CFO.
The insurer is launching a formal search process to hire a new CEO.
