LSU dental school names new dean

February 1, 2023 -- Dr. Angelo Mariotti, PhD, was appointed dean of the Louisiana State University (LSU) Health New Orleans School of Dentistry, effective January 3.

Mariotti was recruited from the Ohio State University College of Dentistry, where he was a professor and chair of the department of periodontology. Mariotti is a diplomate and director of the American Board of Periodontology and an editor of Pharmacology and Therapeutics for Dentistry.
