Amabrush introduced at the 2018 Chicago Dental Society Midwinter Meeting a hands-free toothbrush that it says simultaneously brushes all teeth in 10 seconds.

Described by Amabrush as the world's first fully automatic toothbrush, the product was conceptualized by engineers and healthcare professionals in 2015 and funded by a Kickstarter campaign in July 2017.

The toothbrush includes an antibacterial mouthpiece that contains multiple rows of soft antibacterial bristles. It magnetically connects to a handpiece that has a built-in charging module and works with Bluetooth and an Armabrush app. The product uses U.S. Food and Drug Administration-approved toothpaste capsules designed for the toothbrush that are available in whitening, sensitive, and extra fresh versions.

To use the toothbrush, users attach the handpiece to the mouthpiece, insert it into their mouth and bite down, and then press a button and wait 10 seconds. Amabrush includes various vibration modes, with a tongue cleaner and a sanitation station for sterilizing up to two mouthpieces with ultraviolet light also available.

The toothbrush can be preordered through the Amabrush website and is expected to be ready for delivery in the third quarter of 2018. Amabrush said it plans to expand the product's distribution through other sales channels.
