X-ray positioning apparatus off U.S. tariff list
July 11, 2019 -- The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative announced on July 10 that several categories of medical devices were now exempt from the 25% tariffs imposed on devices imported from China. These include dental x-ray alignment and positioning apparatus.
CBCT study examines pediatric radiation dose
July 3, 2019 -- As cone-beam CT (CBCT) use increases in pediatric patients, understanding the amount of radiation received in dental and maxillofacial exams is crucial. Researchers measured dose in 22 areas and found that the salivary glands and oral mucosa had the highest measured radiation levels.  Discuss
