Start-up Porcelane is offering in-home dental appointments spent entirely with the dentist to patients in San Francisco.
The company offers online booking, 24/7 support, and morning, evening, and weekend appointments. Porcelane has developed a proprietary dental suite that fits in the trunk of a car.
The company's clinical team is led by Lisa Buda, DDS. The patient cost for an appointment that includes an exam, a full cleaning, and x-rays is just under $300 plus travel fee. Porcelane also offers services such as whitening, filling, crowns, and minor tooth movement.
The company expects to expand its service to other Bay Area communities later in 2016.
