The University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) College of Dentistry has promoted Dr. Susan Rowan as dean, effective April 16.
Rowan has served as the college's interim dean since 2022 and will take over as dean for a two-year term, pending approval by the University of Illinois Board of Trustees.
Before serving as interim dean, Rowan held positions as executive associate dean and associate dean for clinical affairs at the College of Dentistry and is currently a professor of restorative dentistry within the college.
