ADA co-hosts Evidence-Based Dentistry course

Prompted by requests from ADA members, the ADA Center for Evidence-Based Dentistry (EBD) and Forsyth Institute Center recently co-hosted a five-day, interactive, evidence-based dentistry course, according to a news article in ADA News.

Course work focused on human clinical trials addressing quantitative and qualitative outcomes, risk calculation, diagnosis, and systematic reviews. Attendees included dentists, dental team members, educators, and researchers.

"The course enhanced my understanding of EBD," said Michael Glick, D.M.D., dean at University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and editor of Journal of the American Dental Association in the story. "It opened my eyes to the creation of EBD in ways I hadn't thought of before and how to create evidence for the practice of dentistry."

The Center for EBD announced it would likely hold another course in 2010.
