The University of Oklahoma (OU) College of Dentistry has received a five-year, $2.1 million grant to expand the pediatric dental workforce and improve access to children’s dental care.
The university’s two-year residency program began in July 2024 with three residents and expanded to four this year, providing training at Oklahoma Children’s Hospital and other clinics.
The grant from the U.S. Health Resources and Services Administration will allow the program to expand rotation sites and extend time at each location.
