Dentistry not exempt from medical device tax

The U.S. Internal Revenue Service has issued its final regulations regarding the 2.3% medical device tax that takes effect January 1, and efforts to exempt dentists and dental product manufacturers from the tax apparently fell on deaf ears. But the fight is not over, according to the Dental Trade Alliance.
