FTC endorses CODA standards for dental therapists

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is endorsing the proposed accreditation standards for dental therapists by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA), saying the therapists could improve access to, and enhance competition for, dental care. But the agency also recommended removing "unnecessary language" about their supervision and practice scope, which could "undermine" improved access.
