A man was arrested on March 3 for allegedly extracting teeth and performing dental cleanings at an apartment in Texas without a dental license and faces up to 10 years in prison if convicted, according to a story published on March 4 by ABC13 Houston.
Eduardo Rivero Rios, 61, who says he was licensed to practice dentistry in Cuba and Venezuela, was arrested at his apartment. At the time, multiple people were waiting at his home to receive dental treatment, according to the story.
Rios reportedly admitted to police that he performed tooth extractions and cleanings. Rios was given a $1,000 personal recognizance bond, according to the story.
A criminal complaint is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
