Authorities are searching for a 73-year-old dentist who didn’t return home from the Kansas dental practice where he worked more than a week ago, according to a press release posted June 11 on Facebook by the Overland Park Police Department in Kansas.

Police are asking the public to assist in locating Dr. Steven Lieurance, who was last seen at 4 p.m. on June 2, according to police.

Lieurance was last seen driving a 2008 silver Mercedes-Benz convertible, leaving the Olathe, KS, practice he worked at. The Kansas license plate on his car is SHOX77.

Some leads suggested that Lieurance was traveling through Reeds Spring, MO. However, a search of the area yielded no signs of Lieurance or his vehicle, according to police.

Investigators are actively working with regional partners to pursue all leads. Anyone who may have spotted Lieurance or his vehicle should contact the Overland Park Police Department at (913) 895-6300.

In addition to calling for prayers and sending positive thoughts to his family, former patients shared their feelings about Lieurance on Facebook.

Kristin Anthony wrote, “I hope he's okay! He is such a funny, kind person. I was sad when he left Wichita and I had to find another dentist. I was his patient for 32 years.”

Linda Robert remembered him as a “great dentist,” writing, “He was a jokester. We hated when he moved but I understood he wanted to be close to family. Pray he is found ok.”
