Dental industry job growth has remained nearly flat over the past year, according to the ADA's (ADA) first-quarter 2026 economic report.
The report, which tracks employment data, consumer dental spending, and staffing trends, shows that overall U.S. job growth slowed after December 2024, with minimal month-over-month change since. The U.S. economy lost 92,000 jobs in February 2026.
Dental office jobs increased by less than 0.1% between January and February 2026. Over the past 12 months, the dental sector added just 0.5% more jobs, according to the report.
