X-ray positioning apparatus off U.S. tariff list
July 11, 2019 -- The Office of the U.S. Trade Representative announced on July 10 that several categories of medical devices were now exempt from the 25% tariffs imposed on devices imported from China. These include dental x-ray alignment and positioning apparatus.
CBCT study examines pediatric radiation dose
July 3, 2019 -- As cone-beam CT (CBCT) use increases in pediatric patients, understanding the amount of radiation received in dental and maxillofacial exams is crucial. Align Technology, Straumann end distribution talks
June 14, 2019 -- Medical device company Align Technology and Straumann Group have terminated discussions regarding a possible development and distribution agreement. As a result, Straumann will pay Align Technology $16 million as part of a patent settlement agreement announced in March.
