DentaQuest gives Mich. coalition $150K

The Michigan Oral Health Coalition will receive $150,000 in funding from the DentaQuest Foundation through the second phase of the foundation's Oral Health 2014 Initiative.

The money will be used to help address issues related to access to oral health services by the underserved in Michigan, according to the organizations.

During phase I, Michigan Oral Health Coalition worked to develop multidimensional community partnerships and engaged them in the development of an oral health action plan to address medical/dental collaboration and access to care within Clare County. In the second phase of this multiyear initiative, the coalition will expand its program to an additional three Michigan counties. The DentaQuest Foundation will support them with funding and technical assistance.

Michigan Oral Health Coalition is one of 18 state nonprofit partners from Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Idaho, Maryland, Mississippi, New Jersey, North Dakota, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Virginia, and West Virginia who are part of the Oral Health 2014 Initiative.
