The HuFriedyGroup has finalized a deal to acquire the dental business of Mectron, a manufacturer of ultrasonic devices for piezoelectric bone surgery and a creator of air-polishing technologies.
Closing is expected by the end of 2026.
The deal, according to the HuFriedyGroup, supports dental professionals across prevention, implantology, and oral surgery by connecting precision instrumentation, advanced equipment, education, and workflow solutions within a broader portfolio.
Under the agreement, Mectron's Carasco, Italy, facility will continue manufacturing the dental range for the HuFriedyGroup through a multiyear supply agreement following closing.
