Video transcript

"Let's take a minute to talk about silver diamine fluoride, or SDF. It's one of the greatest little tools to fight decay that has come along in a long time.

"This material is ideal for treating pediatric patients, special needs patients, and elderly patients that can't always tolerate a traditional restorative procedure.

"Now it's not a silver bullet, pun intended, because you do need to apply it more than one time, and it doesn't always eliminate the need to pick up a handpiece. Also, remember when you're handling it, handle with care, because it does stain things black.

"Now let's get back to work."
