ADS kicks off DICAM with campaign focused on daily safety habits

The Association for Dental Safety (ADS) has launched Dental Infection Control Awareness Month under the theme "Safety Starts With Every Step," encouraging dental teams to focus on everyday actions that protect patients and staff rather than following a fixed weekly schedule.

The campaign, tagged #DICAM26, includes a social media toolkit with platform-ready copy and graphics plus prompts for practices to share infection control wins and encourage patients to ask questions about safety protocols.

ADS is also promoting Ask ADS, its AI-powered infection control assistant, for quick answers to practical questions such as the correct way to put on and remove personal protective equipment or what occurs when wet packs are removed from a sterilizer.

The organization is directing teams toward the U.S. Centers for Disease Control's "Foundations: Building the Safest Dental Visit course," which offers three hours of continuing education credit.
