Week in Review: Perio treatment lowers blood pressure? Plus adult visits and dentist earnings

Dental treatment may significantly lower the blood pressure of patients at risk for heart disease, a new study has found. Patients with prehypertension who received scaling and root planing ultimately had blood pressure that measured more than 10 points lower than those who did not. Read more here.
