Xpress DDS has launched a new teledentistry platform to fill the void of needed dental care in hospital emergency rooms.
Approximately 25% of patients with unresolved oral issues return to emergency rooms to seek care, which can lengthen overall wait times and decrease the capacity for more emergent patients, according to the company.
The Xpress DDS teledentistry platform is designed to route hospital dental emergency patients to a tablet kiosk to provide immediate care and treatment from a virtual licensed dentist, supported by referral and scheduling assistance at a local dental office.
