A dentist in Michigan accused of running a drug “party house” in which he supplied methamphetamines to partygoers has been charged with two felonies, according to a story published on October 14 on WXYZ Detroit.

Dr. Kok-Heng Chong, 56, who operates his own practice in Taylor, MI, has been charged with felonies for delivering or manufacturing methamphetamines and maintaining a drug house at his home in Canton Township, MI.

Chong was released from custody after posting a $10,000 personal bond.

Authorities have said that neighbors, who referred to Chong’s house as the “party house,” tipped off police, according to the story.

Evidence recovered at the house led police to search Chong’s workplace, where he rents dental space from a larger practice. Syringes used in dentistry that had traces of methamphetamine were found at his home, which led them to obtain a search warrant for his dental practice.

However, the search at the dental practice revealed no suspicious activity at the office, according to the story.

A criminal complaint is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
