"Hey, doc, have you got a minute?
"Any time I take out a tooth, the first thing I want to think about is what's going to happen to that socket. Whether an implant is on the table or not, you want to think about bone grafting.
"The most efficient, cost-effective way to bone graft is with an OsteoGen plug from Impladent. This is bovine collagen with bioactive calcium phosphate crystals. They are embedded in this plug in a way unlike any other plug on the market. Furthermore, when this is placed, it's initially radiolucent, so as that site becomes more radiopaque on an x-ray, you know you're ready to go back in and place that implant.
"This comes in three sizes. There's a skinny size for those incisors. There's a medium, which we call large, and then there's extra large for that really big spot.
"I am telling you, if you try this product, you're gonna love it. You don't need to place a membrane in a typical socket. It's simply criss-cross, sutures over the top, and you're good to go.
"Now, let's get back to work."
