United Concordia Dental is partnering with the YMCA of Southern Arizona, Southern Arizona Dental Society, and the Arizona Dental Foundation to provide free dental services to 100 children in the Tucson area on June 10.
The children will receive free dental screenings and fluoride varnish from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lohse Family YMCA in Tucson. Children with the most pressing dental needs will be directed to follow-up care.
With looming cuts to KidsCare, the state's Children's Health Insurance Program, and the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System, the services will be critical to meeting the needs of the area's children, said Annemarie Medina, spokeswoman for the YMCA of Southern Arizona.
