Glidewell is partnering with Medit to launch a new intraoral scanner called the fastscan.io.
The scanner consists of Medit's i700 technology, which has been combined with Glidewell's glidewell.io software. Dentists can upload digitized impressions taken using fastscan.io to Glidewell for review or to other labs of their choice, the company said.
The fastscan.io features reversible tips, a detachable cable, and a built-in ultraviolet C LED disinfecting light. It is available in both wired and wireless versions. Its cost is $18,990, which includes a cart and a computer or laptop, according to the firm.
