Sikka launches life insurance risk indicators

Application programming interface (API) integration platform developer Sikka Software has launched Sikka Insights, a business unit that will leverage consent-based oral care data to facilitate life insurance underwriting.

Sikka Insights' indicators for applicant risk classification are built around a dental record dataset on tobacco, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and marijuana use, according to the company. The indicators have been validated across eight retrospective studies ranging in size from 2,500 to 8 million records, Sikka said.
