Podcast: Navigating the complex world of tariffs and their impact on the dental industry

I am thrilled that I will once again host podcasts for DrBicuspid.com at the Dental Trade Alliance (DTA) annual meeting in November in Austin, TX.

At the DTA meeting, the subject of tariffs and their impact on dentistry is expected to be a hot topic. One of the attendees who will be focused on the ever-evolving tariff landscape is Rick Van Arnam, a partner of Barnes/Richardson, a law firm that specializes in global trade law.

Van Arnam practices in all areas of customs, import, international trade, and export controls law. He has been with the firm since 1991 and has been a partner since 1998.

In this episode of the Dental Trade Alliance Podcast, I spoke with Van Arnam about the complexities of tariffs and trade policy, particularly as they relate to the dental industry. We discuss the current state of tariffs, the implications of trade with China, and the challenges of regulatory compliance.

Van Arnam emphasizes the importance of understanding product origin and navigating the evolving landscape of international trade. He also offers resources for DTA members to stay informed and compliant.
