CareQuest Innovation Partners and PDS Health have launched a six-month initiative to make blood pressure screening a routine part of dental visits, with the goal of advancing medical-dental integration and improving whole-person care.
The collaboration, launched in April 2026 across five PDS Health practices in Florida, California, and Arizona, aims to reach 10,000 patients.
Research shows people with gum disease are two to three times more likely to experience a heart attack or stroke, and an estimated 9% of Americans see a dentist but not a physician each year, making dental offices a critical touchpoint for identifying hypertension and connecting patients to follow-up care.
