ADHA announces new leadership

The American Dental Hygienists' Association (ADHA) has named new leadership for the 2018-2019 year.

Michele Braeman, RDH, BSDH, from Fallston, MD, will serve as ADHA president. Braeman is a private practice clinician and has previously served as a District III trustee and chair on the council of public relations.

Braeman is replacing Tammy Filipiak, RDH, MS, who will continue to serve on the board of trustees as past president. Filipiak will also lead the ADHA Institute for Oral Health.

Additional new officers include the following:

  • Matt Crespin, RDH, MPH, president-elect
  • Lisa Moravec, RDH, vice president
  • Donnella Miller, RDH, MPS, treasurer
  • Becky Smith, CRDH, EdD, District IV trustee
  • Erin Haley-Hitz, RDH, PhRDH, District VIII trustee
  • Crystal Spring, RDH, District X trustee
