LED Dental Inc. announced the launch of VELscope Mantis, a redesigned fluorescence visualization device for oral mucosal screening, available June 30. The cordless, rechargeable unit integrates three visualization modes, a wider field of view, and enhanced image filtering, with iPhone-based photo documentation for clinical recordkeeping.
The device is designed to help clinicians detect oral mucosal changes earlier. Oral cancer affects roughly 54,000 new U.S. patients annually, according to LED Dental.
The VELscope Mantis will be distributed through Patterson Dental, Henry Schein, Benco Dental, Darby Dental, and other dental suppliers. More information is available on the LED Dental website.
