Dr. Tom Giacobbi has a simple message as part of his Just a Minute, Doc series. If you're not organized, you're not being efficient in your dental practice.
In the video below, Dr. Giacobbi explains why efficiency and organization matter in today's dental practice. He also shares the first thing he would look at if he visited your practice to know if you are as organized as you should be.
Video transcript
"If I walked into a dental office that I'd never been in before and I wanted to know if they were running a great operation, you know where I would look? In their drawers. Not those drawers! The drawers in the operatory.
"I would want to see organization, labels, compartments, and the minimum amount of stock to get through a full day. Every day, at the end of the day, the team should be restocking the operatories to be sure that items aren't spoiling in the op and you're minimizing the amount of excess inventory that you're keeping on hand.
"Organization can save you 20 minutes a day. Take the time to get organized, and if you're not organized, give me a call. I'll give you a hand.
"Let's get back to work."
