Emily Rochelle Brannon, 34, was indicted on September 10 by a Georgia county jury on charges of forgery in the first degree, identity fraud, and practicing dentistry without a license. In May, she was arrested, charged, and released from custody after posting a bond.

In January 2022, Brannon reportedly presented a fake dental license to the staff at Byrd Dental Group in Douglasville, GA. The document appeared as though it was issued by the Georgia Board of Dentistry.

A month later, the police obtained warrants for the arrest of Brannon, who had fled the area. In April 2022, the board reported that Brannon complied with a request to cease and desist working under the forged license.

However, Brannon purportedly managed to elude arrest until she was captured in Tennessee on May 22, 2024. She was also charged with being a fugitive from justice, according to the stories.

A criminal complaint is merely an allegation. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
