Black Talon Security named AAOMS Advantage Partner to protect oral surgery practices

Black Talon Security, a cybersecurity company specializing in dental and healthcare organizations, has been named an American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (AAOMS) Advantage Partner for cybersecurity, giving AAOMS members access to the company's enterprise-grade security platform and managed services.

The partnership addresses a growing vulnerability in surgical practices: the distinction between IT support -- which keeps systems running -- and specialized cybersecurity, which independently identifies risk, tests defenses, and protects patient data against ransomware and other increasingly AI-enabled threats. Black Talon has protected more than 2,000 healthcare businesses and 65,000 devices since 2018.

AAOMS members will gain access to Black Talon's EAGLEi platform, which provides continuous visibility into cyber risk across people, devices, locations and technology infrastructure, according to Black Talon. Available services include vulnerability management, autonomous patching, 24/7 managed detection and response, AI-based email security, employee security awareness training, and penetration testing, said Black Talon. Members are eligible for preferred pricing on qualifying services.

"OMS practices maintain a valuable combination of medical, financial, and personal information, making them attractive targets for sophisticated threat actors," said Gary Salman, CEO of Black Talon Security.
