3DDX has launched 3DDX AI Planning, which the company calls the first AI implant planning solution with a human in the loop. The tool pairs AI-generated implant plans with review by 3DDX's in-house dentists and links them to surgical guide production and restorative work in one workflow.
Built into 3DDX Connect, the tool prepares each case within minutes of upload, producing a 3D rendering, nerve segmentation, virtual crowns, and a proposed implant plan. Doctors refine the draft, present it to the patient and, if needed, book an online planning session with a 3DDX dentist. A 3DDX dentist validates every plan, and once the requesting doctor approves it, the case moves to guide fabrication. Final clinical decisions remain with the treating doctor.

AI Planning cases are prioritized in production. After approval, 3DDX can produce the surgical guide in as little as two days or send back STL files within two hours for in-office 3D printing. Doctors can also request temporary restorations, custom abutments, healing abutments, or crowns for the same case.
