Roe Dental Laboratory has introduced ArchBridge for Overdenture, a patent-pending digital scanning system and workflow for fixed and removable overdenture cases.
Clinicians capture attachment positions intraorally using six reusable titanium scan bodies, each with distinct geometry so the scanner can identify every position. The scan bodies press-fit onto overdenture abutments, and their sandblasted surface is designed to reduce reflection during scanning, according to Roe.
Roe then positions and cures the housings in the prosthesis at the lab, which the company said removes the need for poured models, analogs, chairside blockout, and intraoral acrylic pickups.
The system is compatible with most major overdenture systems and supports several workflows, including replacing an existing overdenture, converting a healing denture, and converting a removable overdenture to a fixed hybrid. The autoclavable kit includes spacers and placement tools and is available on Roe’s website.
