Looking to cut costs at your practice in these economically troubled times? How about riding to work the truly old-fashioned way -- on a horse!
That is what the office staff of Keith Leonard, D.D.S., in Arlington, WA, did recently when gas prices hit $4.00 a gallon, according to an Associated Press (AP) story.
"Since more than half of the dental assistants and office staff own horses ... the crew saddled up and rode in to work," the AP reported.
The staff received a special permit from city officials. Dr. Leonard said it was their way of encouraging patients to use alternative forms of transportation.
