Henry Schein announces executive changes

Henry Schein Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer Gerald Benjamin will retire on July 1 after 34 years of service. Michael Ettinger, who is currently chief counsel, will be promoted to chief operating officer effective July 1.

Benjamin, who will step down from Henry Schein's board of directors when his term ends in May, will remain as an adviser to the company. Benjamin was responsible for developing and expanding Henry Schein's supply chain system, which includes the management of approximately 5.6 million sq ft of properties around the world, consisting of 27 distribution centers, offices, showrooms, manufacturing, and sales space.

Ettinger joined Henry Schein in 1994 and has served in positions such as senior vice president for corporate and legal affairs, secretary, and chief of staff.
