The Wisconsin Dental Association (WDA) Foundation has awarded $29,500 in scholarships to 10 dental and dental hygiene students for the 2020-2021 school year.
That figure is nearly double the amount awarded last year and is the largest it has made during the program's 20-year history. Scholarships are awarded based on academic performance and financial need, among other factors.
The dental school recipients, who attend Marquette University School of Dentistry, are as follows:
- Damon Cole
- Stefan Idso
- Justin Roche
- Maisie Tolzmann
- Rebecca Willfahrt
- Alexander Crain
The dental hygiene student recipients are the following:
- Brooke Thompson, a student at Chippewa Valley Technical College
- Janet Zeinert, a student at Fox Valley Technical College
- Chelby Hartmann, a student at Northcentral Technical College
- Rebecca Schwaller, a student at Northeast Wisconsin Technical College
