The global dental consumables market is projected to grow from $37 billion in 2026 to $54 billion by 2031, according to a new report from Research and Markets.
The report forecasts a compound annual growth rate of 7.9%, driven by rising rates of caries, periodontal disease, and tooth loss; aging populations; demand for cosmetic dentistry; and wider adoption of CAD/CAM and other digital technologies.
Dental restoration products, including materials for fillings, crowns, and bridges, hold the largest market share, and dental hospitals and clinics are the largest end users. The Asia-Pacific region is expected to post the fastest growth, according to the report
Research and Markets also cited limited reimbursement, high treatment costs, pricing pressure among manufacturers, and a shortage of skilled dental laboratory technicians as factors that could slow growth. Companies profiled include Straumann, Envista, Dentsply Sirona, and Solventum.
