A man was arrested and faces felony charges for allegedly brandishing a knife and threatening to kill two dental employees at an Arkansas dental practice, according to multiple news stories published on March 25.
Thomas Rush, 57, was charged on March 20 with felony first-degree terroristic threatening and the misdemeanor second-degree terroristic threatening. Rush is free on a $10,000 bond. Additionally, Rush was ordered to have no contact with the dental employees who work at Walnut Ridge Dental Care in Walnut Ridge, AR, as he awaits his next court date in April.
During his dental appointment on January 13, Rush allegedly grabbed a practice employee by the throat, shook her aggressively, and said that he wanted to do the same thing to the dentist. Then Rush reportedly said he would return to the practice and kill people if his dental procedure did not go well, according to the stories.
When a different dental employee tried to move Rush into another room at the practice, he allegedly pulled out a pocketknife and began moving toward her. The employee left the room because she felt threatened.
In February, a warrant was issued for Rush’s arrest, according to the stories.
