A patient was arrested for allegedly placing a briefcase on a counter and threatening to bomb a dental practice in Illinois after his demands to see a dentist were not met, according to a story published on June 2 in Regional News.
Yeazan Hammad, 30, was charged with disorderly conduct and banned for life from Orland Advanced Dentistry in Orland Park, IL, where he made the alleged threats, according to the story.
On May 14, Hammad entered the practice and allegedly demanded to see a dentist. When he was denied access to a dentist, Hammad allegedly placed a briefcase on the practice counter and threatened to “blow up” the dental office.
Earlier that day, Hammad called the practice and asked questions about his insurance.
When police questioned Hammad at his Orland Park, IL, home, he reportedly admitted to being at the office and arguing with staff about how he was treated. However, Hammad denied any statements about having a bomb or threatening to blow up the practice.
Instead, Hammad claimed that he said, “I’m frustrated. I’m going to blow,” according to the story.
Police did not find a bomb in Hammad’s briefcase.
