After Korol and his alleged victim began drinking and discussing ongoing problems in their relationship, she claimed that he became moody and increasingly erratic. Korol allegedly accused her of infidelity, and there were threats of violence, according to the story.
The woman claimed that Korol shocked her multiple times with a taser gun, as well as hit and choked her. Also, she alleged that he tied her to a chair, used a rope and straps to tie her to a bed, and placed a restraint around her neck. Police saw bruises, cuts, and swelling on her body that were consistent with her account, according to the story.
At some point during the ordeal, the woman claimed that Korol got a revolver, threatened to kill her, and fired a shot next to her face, according to the story.
Eventually, the situation de-escalated, allowing the woman to get ahold of her phone and contact a family member, who called the police. At some point, Korol allegedly exited the room where the victim was, and she escaped from the house, according to the story.
Once the woman was safe, police took Korol into custody.
As of June 22, Korol remained in custody on a $130,000 bond. Additionally, a risk protection order was filed against the dentist.
