LightForce Orthodontics unveils LightBracket Metal

LightForce Orthodontics has launched LightBracket Metal, the first patient-specific 3D-printed metal bracket, expanding its generative braces system to the roughly 65% of orthodontic patients worldwide who choose metal.

Each bracket is generated from the orthodontist's digital treatment plan and individualized across six dimensions, including the bracket base, slot height, and slot prescription. According to LightForce, its bracket system has demonstrated up to 60% fewer appointments and 43% shorter treatment times compared with conventional braces.

"LightBracket Metal changes the order of things," said Alfred Griffin, LightForce's founder and CEO. "We're giving doctors the most exact instrument they've ever had."

LightForce will debut the product at the American Association of Orthodontists' Annual Session, May 1-3, in Orlando, FL.
