Orthodontics firm Ormco Corporation has launched Spark clear aligners release 14, which seamlessly integrates with DEXIS Ios and offers the new Spark approver web.

The approver web allows cases to be accessed and modified from anywhere, offers secure file saving, and doesn’t require installations or updates. Its integration with DEXIS provides an open platform through which practitioners can submit orders for functional appliances through their preferred providers.

Additionally, retention attachments for its integrated hooks are available in three sizes, and clinicians can choose between TruGen and TruGen XR materials on all primary and refinement Spark products.

Other enhanced workflow advances include the following:

  • Expanded real-time approval, allowing for instant changes to improve efficiencies with passive aligner editing

  • The TruRoot cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) collision alert system that automatically detects and highlights areas on root surfaces that are touching or penetrating cortical bone

  • An aligner trimline, which visualizes the trimline in the Spark approver software
  • A web scan hold resolution feature that provides detailed information in the dashboard to resolve scan issues with a new edit feature that minimizes scan-matching errors
