Shofu Dental has launched FX-LC, a light-cure, resin-reinforced glass ionomer restorative designed to deliver a 4-mm bulk fill.

Powered by new generation acrylamide monomer chemistry, FX-LC aims to provide high strength, Shofu said. FX-LC features proprietary tri-cure technology -- a glass ionomer reaction, light cure, and chemical polymerization -- enabling bulk-fill placement up to 4 mm. It can achieve reliable cures with a 10-second light exposure and no required conditioner step, according to the company.
It is available in high-viscosity and low-viscosity capsules in multiple shades, as well as a hand-mix powder/liquid kit and the FX-LC conditioner for enhanced bond strength.
