The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has granted a patent to Keystone Dental subsidiary Osteon Medical for its Nexus IOS (intraoral scanner) scan gauge technology.
The technology enables dentists to perform direct full-arch implant scans using an intraoral scanner with predictable and passive fitting prosthetic outcomes. The technology replaces the traditional manual process of taking impressions. Its elongated body scan apparatus acquires direct implant-location data.
