A dental clinic in the supermarket?

A British supermarket is doing its part to help ease the U.K.'s dental crisis by opening the nation's first in-store dental clinic, according to the Times.

Under Sainsbury's new dentistry program, part of the supermarket chain's "Try something new today" motto, shoppers can stop by for a first-come, first-served checkup as well as general and cosmetic dentistry. The miniclinic will be located near the store checkout and pharmacy, and will be run by Dr. Lance Knight, owner and operator of the Ultimate Smile Spa in Manchester, U.K.

Sainsbury's announced earlier this year that it intends to offer after-hours doctor's appointments at several stores in the Manchester area.
